The conference Organic Light Emitting Materials and Devices (OP212) goes into its 22nd round (XXII) this year at the SPIE Optics+Photonics 2018 in San Diego. The abstracts for contributions are due February 7, 2018 – so a couple of weeks to go. Don’t miss out this excellent opportunity to showcase your latest research results. A pdf version of the Call for Papers can be downloaded here: OP18P OP212 Call Flyer.
We are inviting everyone working in the field of organic electronics and photonics to consider our Conference and to submit an abstract. We are looking forward to a broad, state-of-the-art exchange of research and development trends.
The DPG-Frühjahrstagung der Sektion Kondensierte Materie (SKM) will take place from March 19 – 24 in Dresden this year. Below, you find a list of our group’s contributions throughout the week. We are looking forward to an exciting and fruitful week of discussions and exchange. See you there. (There is even a hashtag for the event: #DPGDD17)
Ryutaro Komatsu (see below) is currently visiting our group as part of an ongoing exchange program between TU Dresden and Universities from Japan. He is a PhD candidate of Prof. Junji Kido from Yamagata University – good chance to see some of their recent work.
This year, the 14th European Conference on Molecular Electronics (ECME) will be
held in Dresden on August 29 – September 2, 2017. Important date to remember and of course consider is the deadline for the Call for Papers, which is March 31, 2017. Please check it out to learn more about the different topics the conference will cover. The event already has a broad and exciting collection of invited speakers and now it is looking for your contribution to turn it into a great and vivid week of molecular electronics science.
You may have heard that the abstract deadline for the 2016 MRS Spring Meeting in Phoenix, AZ, has been extended until October 30, 2015 (11:59 pm ET) – that is 3 days from now. If you were too late for the original deadline, this is your change. We would like to bring to your attention our Symposium EP1, which deals with systems and devices based on organic materials with a important focus on the utilization of their excitonic properties. Together with my colleagues Malte C. Gather, Marc A. Baldo, and Chihaya Adachi, I am looking forward to your submissions.
Let’s meet in Phoenix and talk spins, TADF, plasmonics, up- and down-conversion, polaritons, lasing, sensing, bioinspired systems, phosphorescence, strong coupling, OLEDs, optics, single crystals.
One last point: Please spread the word if you know someone, who might be interested in our Symposium EP! but does not know about it. Thank you!
Just a brief reminder: The deadline for the abstract submission of the MRS Spring 2016 Meeting in Phoenix is approaching. It will close on October 15, 2016 (11:59 p.m. ET). If you are interested in organics, excitonics, systems, devices, etc., we would be happy if you consider our Symposium EP1: Organic Excitonic Systems and Devices. Please find the Call for Papers here. We have a great line-up if invited speakers covering broadly many exciting topics.
Together with my colleagues Malte C. Gather, Chihaya Adachi and Marc A. Baldo, I am organizing a symposium for the first ever MRS Spring Meeting in Phoenix next year (2016). The conference will run from March 28 to April 1. The topic of our Symposium EP1 is: Organic Excitonic Systems and Devices. We hope that this symposium will bring together the broad range of research and development in the field of organic and soft matter sciences that make use of the excitonic properties found in these materials.
Excitonic = exciting, right?
We are excited to receive your submissions for oral presentations and posters. Click on the Call for Papers image, to get a larger view. We already have a great assembly of invited speakers for this meeting.
The abstract deadline is October 15th, 2015. Remember, no late submissions can be considered for acceptance, so don’t be late with your contribution.
We also highly appreciate, if you spread the word!
